Can I connect it to my router to add more ports? ⌄
Yes — connect one port to your router's LAN port and the remaining 15 ports become additional network ports sharing your router's internet connection.
Is the TEG1016D suitable for IP cameras? ⌄
For cameras with their own power supply, yes. For PoE cameras that need power through the cable, you need the Tenda TEF1106P, TEF1110P, or TEF1118P instead — the TEG1016D does not supply PoE.
What is the difference between the TEG1016D and TEG1024D? ⌄
The TEG1016D has 16 ports, the TEG1024D has 24. Both are unmanaged Gigabit switches with the same performance per port. Choose 16 for a small office or department; choose 24 for larger deployments.
